MM manure spreader

I picked this up yesterday and have plans on doing a complete refurbish on it. Besides the tires and boards being rotten it still works. I would love to be able to find tires like this to put back on it but have had no luck trying to find them. I am hoping someone with more experience than me might be able to point me in the right direction. Also a possible year range would be nice.

The writing is pretty hard to make out, but this is what I think it says.
Zenith tractor tread. Zenith rubber co. EAU Claire Wisconsin USA
Rayon 7.00-20 10pl 32 x 6 maximum load 2250 lbs. inflate to 70 lbs.

Beautiful spreader ,and I love the roller driving the apron ratchet. I have an old IH truck axle under my fuel trailer with that size tire and split rim ,but not the nobby snow tread . I've replaced with larger 8.25x20" used tires and my rims are good enough to safely reuse. The tire company in Eau Clair was probably the forerunner of the US Royal plant.

Thanks for the tire size info. I think those knobby tires are really cool
and would love to find some just like them but that probably is not
going to happen. So 8.5 will fit on these rims you think? I was truly
impressed when everything works as it should. My wife wants me to
finish it all up as it was on the show room floor. Another question that
came to mind is what kind of wood did the original ones have?

I kind of suspected they might be 20". I was going to suggest truck tires also, but as you suggested, you'll never find that tread pattern. You might find some snow tires if you don't want regular tread.

If it were me, I'd leave those tires on the until they blew out, then look for a replacement. Maybe put a little preservative on them might help preserve them.

Assuming they were bought with new tires. John Deere used to use 20 inch rims on the Model L, which was a very popular model around here. The old Deere dealer rarely sold one with new tires on it. Used truck tires that size were cheap and plentiful. I would imagine MM spreaders were sold the same way. Frugal farmers, you know.
