G705 PTO

Can anyone provide me with some information on the PTO set up on the G705/6 tractors. I just purchased a Massey 97 which is the same tractor but it does not have a PTO. I am hoping to find and install one but not sure what this all entails. Thanks for any help.

As I recall (40 some years ago) They are fairly easy to install. Remove the plate and Install a shaft and PTO plate. I think you have to drain the transmission oil or park it down hill.

Tony pretty well summed it up. Very late ones may have a different spline shaft. Most of them are the same as a U, G, GVI. I would have one here I would sell out of a G705 if you are interested. In Jordan, MN. Shipping could be a bit of a killer. They are heavy.

I have a PTO unit but am missing the intermediate shaft from the trans to the pto unit and all the external linkages to make it easy to engage and disengage from the seat. Would you have those
components? Thanks
