Moline BG steering wheel

I;m still trying bit by bit to get this BG back together.
The rubber is pretty much gone on the steering wheel I have for it. Its not round any more either. I see several sellers offering replacements they say will fit, but the shaft in mine is splined and all the descriptions say their wheels are 7/8 tapered and keyed. The shaft in my parts tractor is 7/8 tapered spine as well. (But the steering wheel is an automotive wheel welded to the MM hub.

Has anyone on here ran into that problem and found a solution?

Thanks!

Kelvin,
I ran into this because someone thought it was a good idea to put a Ford steering wheel on and pound the hollow sides over it to hold in place. I took a BF steering shaft, cut 20 inches off from the taper end. Cut the Bg shaft 4inches shorter and then had it milled down so I was able to push the two together. Weld the seam and ground down the edges. Then I bought the steering wheel and everything worked out.
