Muffler for UB that actually reduces exhaust noise?

Finally got the UB running pretty well. Have to use hearing protection when using it even though the muffler is almost new. When you look down the inside of the muffler, there is nothing but a "bare metal tube." I do not need a "show" muffler, just something that actually muffles. The place called the "Little Repair Shop" in KS is out of business. What now? Any ideas are appreciated.

Go to a Fleet Farm, or someplace where they sell mufflers, and your caliper, Look down into, the mufflers there is some with baffles, and scaloops in them to make them quieter. they usually sell all kinds of adapters of all size's !

OK, thanks. I think my last one came from Steiner.

It's been a long time since I brought one but I think a Case 930 muffler inlet is the same as a UB (2 3/4 ) in. That quieted it down quite a bit,

Thanks. I'll check it out.

I had a Stanley MM-4 on my UB up until a few a few years ago when I replaced it with one from Little Repair. The MM-4 was OK, but the one from Pete Little sounded like I remembered Dad's U sounding back in the 50's

Yes, the MM-4 is what I have now. To me it sounds loud. Too loud. Unfortunately Mr. Little is not doing these anymore. Will look for some other muffler that has some baffles or something to dampen the noise. Thanks.
