Rebuilding Steeing Piston Jetstar 3

Trying to go about the best easyist way to put the new leather seals on the piston. Do you have to boil them or grease em any help would be appreciated TIA

Sil-glyde from Napa seems to work well. I think I may have used a piston ring compressor also. Where it goes in the center it the gear I wrapped it with a piece of a pop can and a hose clamp.
