The Elwood system was full-time FWA. It did not have a dis-connect.

The Coleman system did have a dis-connect.

Mine has disconnect in drive shaft. Telescoping with sliding collar. Long control rod slides collar . Kinda crude. Also has foot
clutch.

All mods now gone. Has original clutch where fwd shifter was. Foot clutch was same clutch but spring loaded over center. Will just weld drive shaft. Road gear would be really tighten things up. Coleman really did if you forgot to shift out. Maybe chain would stretch to help. Never had Elwood. Crude but probably tough.

Chain cases were their weak point. Many busted and welded. Probably why the driveshaft disconnect was a good thing.

Hello on my 706 the drive shaft had been modified so that a bolt had to be installed when you got to the field ( it would bind on the road but not in the field "slippage")Bryan
