G1355 Gear Issue

Got the G1355 running but some of the low gears are not engaging. Anyone seen this issue? We have a potential buyer and
are curious if this will be a deal breaker.

Will the same gears engage in high range? Remember that is an Oliver transmission.

We inherited the tractor and we are not familiar with the Oliver transmission.

Is there a high and low range shifter?

Split neutral. Center the shift then push forward or pull back.

The 1355 has a dual "H" pattern transmission shift pattern. The two sets of gears are accessed from the center of the pattern. It can be tricky to transition between the two clusters of gears.

I'm sure others will explain this better than I am. Think of the main transmission as two transmissions with one shift lever. With the lever in neutral, feel around with the lever and you will feel the location that allows you to shift between the gear clusters.

That would be a rare 1355. It is thought only 75 lp fueled 1355's were produced in 1974.
