Intake/ exhaust gasket

What should I use on gaskets to help seal?
I remember using aluminum paint on head gasket but don’t remember intake and exhaust.

muffler cement. its bought in a small tube. when things are all flat you dont need anything. this stuff works and thats what i use.

On an itake/exhaust gasket, if I used anything, it would only be a bead of fuel-resistant RTV or Permatex around the intake ports. I would think anything mentioned would burn out of the exhaust ports and then you would have an exhaust leak.

how cam cement burn? thats exactly what it is made for ... not silicone on exhaust! and if there is more than .010 space its time for machining the surfaces.

Get new gaskets.All basically same back to 30's except bolt holes. If still doesn't seal time for a mill job. Don't use inserts.
