445 water pump removal

Im assuming the fan needs to be removed to take the water pump out? Are there nuts on the inside of the pulley or are they
stationary in the pulley? The I&T book says to remove the air cleaner and take it out that side of the tractor.

Yes, 4 bolts but Im wondering on the inside of the pulley. The one I have looks like there are square nuts in it.

Just checked in shop manual. Shows taking out with fan still attached. Not a lot of room. Never seen nuts on inside. Maybe studs were coming loose. Same pump as on all Jetstars.Have changed changed several. Rebuilds are only way to go unless you want to fight with seal.

Might want to just put bandages on your knuckles before you start. Seems I always end up bleeding changing a water pump on them.

Its been a while, but I think you might want to take the water pump out with the plate it attaches to. You probably want to renew the o-rings on the water tube while its apart. If the tube is 'iffy' you might want to replace it too.

Got the pump out but need to disassemble it. Which direction does the bearing and shaft get pressed out. Need to get the hub and pulley off for the other pump. Hopefully the wire lock will come out...maybe lol.

Every 206 I rebuild get new water tubes, O rings and waterpump. Will come back to bite you every time.
