M670 vs. M670 super

A little different styling, a little better ergonomics and hydraulics on the Super. Power is the same. The Super is just an updated version.
 
Hood, side panels, radiator, gauges and dash, steering system, hydraulic pump set up, crankcase of engine, minor differences to PTO. Very little is the same when it really comes down to it. A regular M670 is more similar to a M602 than a M670 Super.
 
AFAIK the M670 was 1965 only, my M670 has hydraulic assist steering and a Super has total hydraulic steering.

There were a small number built in 1964. 4 diesel and 6 spark ignition. You're right that the bulk of the M670s were built in 1965. Mine is a 1965 M670 LP standard.

If standard means wide front. So is mine, guess I need to check the S/N. I have had it for nearly fifteen years or so. LOL

No, I meant that it has a fixed width, non-adjustable wide front axle. Around here, those are known as "standards". By the same token, around here, if it has an adjustable wide front, they are called a row crop.

You might want to check your manuals again on that. Mine shows the LOADED RPM of the 5 Star at 1400, the M5 and M602 at 1500, and ALL M670 at 1600 RPM.

No load high idle numbers for all of them are 150 RPM higher. The 1750 high no load speed becomes 1600 at rated load.

The Nebraska tests show all M670s to be the same engine specs for each fuel type.
