Interesting!! Do you suppose it was originally on full steel and when they cut down the fronts they picked up something they could find to fit the rears??

Has crown fenders. Rear hubs have no indents in them for a rim. E hub is offset 2 inches or more to inside. Have a longer cone than a later one. Books say for a 11x38 rim.

Molinegb:

Anything between 1942 and 1945 could be most anything during the war years. I know of a U tractor in Kansas that came from the factor owned by the original family that has a long adjustable axel on one side and a standard short fixed axel on the other. Anything to keep the farmer and food production going.

44 has different rear housing, rear hubs. Steering box is mounted off to side not mounted to casting. Instrument panel gas plate over it. Only has oil gauge. Has cutoffs on front so would have been on steel. Cast steering wheel. Old full fenders. Rear hubs 511E not like normal 511F like on later U's with 38's. 5th gear locked out.

G4 was going to crusher. Friend had good set of tires on rims so it will be saved. Hauled a 1944 UTS out of samee yard. 44 is totally different than red nose or later.
