Happy Fourth of July to all of us in this Great U.S.A. Finished up all the things the U302 needed during the "lockdown". As I was going through all the small repairs , fixing leaks, putting in a thermostat, fixing all the gauges, etc... I found out that it would not hold oil pressure when warm and working. Well I pulled the rod bearings and found those to be correct, .010 undersize. Pulled the center main and got a surprise. Found that standard size mains were installed on the crank that measured to be needing .010. So I used plastigage on the mains to double check and upon torqueing the caps it didn't even touch the plastigage. I could actually see light using a flashlight between the crank journal and bearing. Long story short, got .010 mains in and all is good again. Put a new wiring harness in and rebuilt the Elwood transfer case. Elwood stamped some numbers in the transfer case and am wondering if anyone would know what those numbers mean?
