I am working on a Minnie 445 and had the starter rebuilt, its hooked up as negative ground, but I felt it should be positive ground, Can someone help me? Thanks for reading this and any help

The starter will turn same direction either polarity.

The tractor will operate either polarity if properly configured.

Alternator, unless modified, must be negative ground.

Generator can be polarized either way, some regulators are marked Positive ground only, negative ground only, or either polarity.

Ammeter connected to show negative swing when switches are on, engine not running

For negative ground the coil - post goes to side of distributor, for positive ground + post of coil to side of distributor

electronic gauges may be polarity sensitive.

Thank you rvirgil. This tractor has been worked on and it had a red wire going to the starter. The starter was shorted out. got it rebuilt, and to get spark, I got a new battery today. will put that in Friday. Thanks again
