Hello all.
I have a 1960 diesel m5 where the starter died. Its one of the old bendix operated where you push a knob with your foot and the rod depresses the starter switch right on starter.
Its a delco remy 1113620.
Delcos website says its obselete. Parts suppliers say no new ones in north america.
The armeture broke 2 or 3 of its big wire bars and shredded some of the windings.
We cant seem to get a replacememt- many auto electric and starter shops ive called cant get the parts to rebuild them even.
Has anybody ever crossed this over to another style with a seleniod, or made one work from another tractor?
Thanks
