ZA manifold question

I've only seen one LP intake for a Z in person. Internal size didn't look much different than gas one to me, but that is far from an accurate answer, it's been a year or two since I saw it.

The lp intake manifold is not connected to the exhaust so it gets no heat. The exhaust is the same as others, it just has a block off plate where intake would connect. I was running it the other day, cool an extremely humid , and noticed that it started running ragged. I noticed the ice above carb and realized it was icing up internally as well. I believe the gas manifold would solve this, but I just wondered about the size of the lp intake runner . I bored it to a 220 so I would think the volume of air/ fuel has increased. It starts to blow black smoke when pulled hard, have checked and adjusted everything gas or ignition related, trying to think outside the box I guess.

I agree with Del, needs to be warmed up before switching to LP. I believe the gas and LP manifolds are the same also

OH!! Entirely a different story. I have both tractors here basically side by side. and they are not the same. Yes of course the gas model has the intake and exhaust connected. I think I might have A good gas manifold assy. I might be interested in a swap.

By the way, yes the the LP intake manifold does have a smaller opening. I am switching to a ZT manifold, bigger opening, better exhaust. It will look funny on an RT, but it?s just the way it is. Thanks!
