Just got a lead on a G850, I did not get a serial number, but somewhere along the line the yellow has been painted green again and the MM grille screen is missing. I do not know if it runs or not, but that? might be the easy part?. It?s a Diesel,,,trying to get the guy to put a price on it but he says give me an offer. So where do I start.
I would also like to know if anyone has an idea how many were badged moline

If it was a run of the mill Oliver, I'd say $4500 would be the starting price, but as a Moline? I don't know. I don't remember how many there were, but it wasn't very many.

They only made 167 in 1971 only. IIRC we gave around 8K for ours back in '14, it had an Great Bend 800 loader on it we took off.

Pretty rare tractor. I would say running would be in the $7500 to $10000 range depending on condition. Not running maybe half that. Just harder than heck to find especially with all the metal on it.

By the way 560farm you've got a very nice one there!

Thanks Doug. I looked through two stacks of Hart Parr Oliver Collector and Oliver Heritage for an issue that featured the 1755, figuring it would give the production numbers on the G850, but I couldn't find a single issue that featured them.

Thanks to all,, will let you know how this turns out and send a picture if I can swing a deal.. got to keep planting now as long as weather holds.

rrlund, glad I could help. Hope things are good down your way. Wet here today. Trying to get field work done so we can start planting early next week.

Same here. We were drying out pretty bad,but now we have over 2 inches of rain. We're planning on having a plow day Saturday if I can get over it with the disc Friday and get it aired out. Oats are in, but I'd like to see the ground a little warmer before I put any corn in the ground. That doesn't seem to be holding some guys back. There's a fair whack of corn in already.

Ya Jack,I planted oats in that mess that Friday. At times the drill tire tracks were filled with snow. I never planted in such miserable weather. The next day was totally opposite.
