Found a MM G1000 with no engine

I found a MM G1000 with no engine, decent price and I was thinking of doing a V8 swap to it. Anyone ever do this? Is it doable within reason or is it a fools errand?

Generator power unit engines will not fit in a G1000. Bell housing bolt pattern is too large. Special small bell housing crankcase 800 engines were produced in limited quantity for use in tractors only.

The olds would be a huge dropoff in Torque. It?s capable of more speed, but would be a disappointment in everything else.

Look for a Cummins B5.9 or C8.3. The 8.3 is almost the same displacement as the original.

This isn't a G1000, but it is proof about anything is possible! ha ha

The propane tank had a 2 inch hole drilled in the top - with a pipe nipple & cap for filling it with diesel.
