I'm in the process of rebuilding the engine for a 54 UB. I got it completely tore apart waiting on parts to
get machined, trying to find rings and all that other happy stuff. In the process of cleaning parts l'm
looking at the water pump/ distributor drive / pump drive shaft that is obviously a very critical part to the
engine. My question is this, how does the distributor gear as well as the back bushing get any lubricant
at all? I don't see a grease zerk or oil supply to it so it would appear that it would run dry. Apparently
they don't cause my U stays running. It just makes me curious.
