Very stout and dependable tractor was my experience with the M 602, built levies in the rice field several times with one and pulled loaded rice carts in pretty good mud, the ampli torque was perfect for powering through bogs then getting up enough speed to make it through the next one. I would definitely check the oil in the transmission and see if they were running 90 weight or hy-trans. As far as I recall tractor was not too rough on fuel but at the time, late 70's, did not worry much about that.

The M602/604 was an interm model basically only built for one year between the M5 and M670. Most parts will interchange.

Never had one but I do have M5s. Strike me as bulletproof. You can however almost be sure that the low side of the torque doesn't work and the power steering probably won't impress you. Both are relatively easy repairs and not terribly expensive. If you have to repair those things, you'll become very familiar with the machine!
