I have to take off my injector pump what is the best aproach for ease of installation after pump is repaired..

Line up flywheel marking btdc with line in window of pump.Remove and install without moving motor.

Does no.1 piston have to be in compression stroke?..IT manual says 9 that is before top dead center correct?..thanks

Yes, # 1 on compression. Align the two marks under the pump cover, then see where the flywheel is. If you align the flywheel first there's a 50/50 chance whether pump will be in time because pump turns 1/2 engine speed.
