Plow day yesterday

Went to a local plow day yesterday. We have had some big rains, but the ground was almost perfect. It was a small but good turn out. I took the 70 U302 with my restored 2 bottom Oliver full mount that I have not used since I got it done. Of course right when I was getting it adjusted right I was turning around at the end of the field and the left front went through the furrow.and coming out went sideways. I was able to limp it to the front of the field, and on the trailer. Getting it off at home was a chore, and we had to use a spud bar to keep the wheel straight. Took it apart tonight and found bottom of the spindle had been welded at some point and the weld broke. Glad it was in the field and not out on the road that it broke.

I always say, it must have been my turn when things like that happen. Inevitably there is a fail on plow day, just hope it isn't you! I've had my turns. The PS pump seized on my 900 at one plow day, a hydraulic line blew on my G on another. Everybody gets a turn! Hope you had a nice time, as short as it may have been.

Great looking pictures of your plow day. I just bought an Oliver 4240 very similar to the one being pulled by the 460/560 in your pics. I want to pull it at the 2021 Half Century of Progress. Black concrete this year!
