Jetstar D206 starter

I have a 1960 Jetstar D206 and right now it's a lawn ornament because the starter failed and I can't find a replacement (1113058) starter or a suitable replacement. Delco Remy site has it as obsolete and both replacements for it are obsolete. Does anyone have a replacement starter number for the original starter? (Bendix was stripped and armature is shorted)

10A19385 or Delco 1107576 will work but has electric solenoid rather than kicker.

Thank you. So this means I can hook up a key switch to start it instead of the mechanical setup I have now. Is that correct?

Yes.. Just doing a 1966 Jetstar 3 Ind diesel. Have starter on bench. My three other d206's have the
kicker. I could get you the original if really needed.

Why don't you just take it to a
starter rebuild shop?

I did. All the repair parts are obsolete.
2 local shops and both said "you're SOL"
