Rebuilding a 451 engine in a G955. Diesel. Have a question on connecting rods. When correctly installed the identification number on the connecting rods is supposed to be on the camshaft side. Why is it that the bearing insert lock tabs are not all on the same side of the connecting rods. On some the lock tabs are opposite the number while others the lock tabs are on the numbered side of the connecting rod. Rather confusing.
