425 LP engine swap

Curious if a 425 LP engine from a G-VI is a direct bolt in for a 425 LP engine in a G-900. I have a G-900 LP as my backup loader tractor and the engine was weak when I bought it years ago - ran into a take out LP engine from a G-VI that is available. My other question would be if not a direct bolt in, how much is interchangeable on the bottom end? My crankshaft and jugs are very worn judging by the oil consumption and knocking. The heads on my 900 are in good shape as I had them reworked recently. Thanks for any info - Bruce.

The list of issues is going to be longer than these two items but here are two reasons the GVI engine cannot be used on the 900.

1) The Bell housing flanges are different sizes.
2) GVI crank is not machined for live power.

Some parts will interchange between the two motor.

Good to know. Never even thought about the no live pto. I really like my 900 and don't want to park it. I like having a non-diesel for backup when it gets real cold
here.

Find a set of 504 blocks and pistons and put on your engine, or a 504 out of a g1000 would fit. 900 should be 451 and g1000 was 504.
Welters in Missouri or stamm in Kansas probably have some.
