If you put a spin on filter on a MM Z-R do you have to use a filter without the back flow valve

These are the filters I use.
NAPA 1061 or 1794

The answer to your original question is yes. The filter must have NO drain-back valve.

The oil actually goes through the filter backward from the designed normal flow direction and a drain back valve will stop the flow.
