Am I barking at the moon? Heat Riser Valve removal

So, I got the exhaust manifold off the '53 UB with no issues. Now, removing the heat riser valve from the manifold is another issue. Appears to be fused [rusted] on. Not real surprising as it has been together for some 66 years. Is it possible [practical] to keep trying to separate these parts? I have been using a large hammer with a cold chisel. I don't see any movement thus far. Probably better just to buy the replacement part. Your thoughts? Thanks.

Here is a picture of the manifold and heat riser valve.

Cliff, thanks for the reply. That would likely do it, but sounds like a boat load of work as I do not have the right cutting tools to do the job. The manifold is built like a Sherman tank.

Thanks for the reply. I have a "heat riser valve" on order. Sometimes I feel that the vintage MM tractor is a big money pit, but it does things that no other machine I have can do....plus it is fun when it runs well.

You are spot on. My interest in having a MM is that both my dad and grandpa worked at MM [Lake Street plant in Mpls] for a long time. Still have my grandpa's retirement ring from MM after some 35 years of service. So, it is sentimental and you can't really put a price on that.
