I HAVE A RUMBLING SOUND IN THE LOWER PART OF THE ENGINE, THE HIGHER RPM'S THE LOUDER THE NOISE, ANY IDEAS WHAT THIS COULD BE?

Front crank roller bearing. They'll growl if they sat for a long time and the bearing race got rusty.

CAN WE REPLACE THE BEARING BY JUST TAKING APART THE FRONT ASSEMBLY INSTEAD OF SPLITTING APART THE WHOLE ENGINE?

No The front roller bearing is installed from inside the engine and then the crank is installed. I just put a new one in a model R and it still rattled. If it's not loud I'd leave it alone

Do you know a old moline man that has had a R or Z that could listen to it. If you think it is to loud then may be you should replace it for peace of mind. If you decide to replace it see if you can get it first. This bearing is one that is hard to find.
