Tie-rod end

Any specific models of General Motors vehicles? A whole lot cheaper getting parts from a salvage yard for GM vehicles! THANKS!

Separating the tie-rod from spindle-arm. For the spindle arm tie-rod, I can easily get the joint-separator tool on it. Not so for the inside (under the radiator) joint. Suggestion to remove that one? A pickle-fork?

It has been a few years but if I remember correctly I used ones for a 1972 3/4
ton 4 wheel drive pickup. I cut the split sleeve for the link in two pieces and
welded a length of pipe between the two pieces so the tie rod ends weren't
heated when welding and the assembly was adjustable.
The taper on the ends was correct.

Thanks for the tip! How did you remove the center tie-rod?

Loosen the nut so it has about 1/8 inch clearance.
Have someone pry on it with a 6 or 7 foot pry bar.
Smack the piece with the hole it goes in with a hammer or hammer and large bar
for a punch (like an 1-1/2 diameter bar)
The ones that go down through the hole, you can set a hydraulic jack under and
put pressure on it with the nut loose.

(quoted from post at 17:08:14 05/23/19) Discovered White 2-150 and Oliver G1000 and G1355 all use the SAME parts!!!!

I was WRONG!!! Not all parts interchangeable!

Never realized how hard it is to find a tie-rod for the M602! Seems crazy to spend $130 + freight for a simple tie-rod! I can get the 1972 GM tie-rod, which has a short rod compared to MM. Do I simply cut the old long-rod off, and weld it to new GM one? I really need help figuring this one out.

Thanks.
