Looking to buy

I am interested in purchasing a Minne Mo, I am a Farmall man myself but have always liked Minnes and would be interested in purchasing one, any suggestions on what I should purchase, looking for something that would be relatively cheap and easy to restore, and would you recommend LP or gas?
Thanks, Wyatt.

I'll go along with Jocco if you're looking to see something really different than your Farmalls. If you want to stay close, go for a UB. A UB is pretty close to the M series Farmall. Sort of depends what year(s) you might be looking to compare to. It's not fair to compare a 670 to a 450 for example. As far as LP, I'm all for it. Assuming it's something of a hobby, with LP, no concerns about old fuel, fuel leaks, carburetor failures; machine can sit for long periods of time without concerns about those things. Then again, you almost have to depend on someone coming to fill you up with fuel.

How old, and are you looking for a big or small one? Any of the letter series, such as R, Z, U, G are cheap and easy to work on.

The later series were available with live PTO and three point hitches and Ampli-Torque (same thing as Farmall's Torque Amplifier).

Either Gas or LP is fine. Minneapolis Moline pioneered the use of LP in farm tractors, and had it mastered. My preference is LP. I heat with propane, and just refill my tractors from my house tank.

If available in your area, a big prairie tractor from MM is a must have. I prefer six cylinders myself, so I would go anywhere from GTBD (diesel) to G708 or 1000.
G706 LPs are going for very cheap.

Well I'm in Northern Missouri, we have a lot of R and U models here, when you get into later models we have 706s around, but have to go further East to get into the bigger tractors

I'm in Central AL and an old fellow I know wants to sell a couple MM. He has a U and a Z. U needs some work. Z needs a switch. Shoot me an email and I will get you in touch with him. I bought an RTU from him and an Oliver 77.
