Question on G706 power steering.

The power steering has been non existent since I bought it. The remotes will raise an implement so I must have pressure. I did take the valve out of the pump to make sure it looked good and was not stuck. The line in and out of the cylinder get warm when running so must be flowing oil thru the cylinder. What am I missing? Something internal in the cylinder? Who would rebuild one if needed?

Power steering on these were never great. Always leaked. Main pump has flow divider to supply PS. If pump is a 15 gpm than 5 or 6
diverted to PS depending on configuration. Pump should deliver 1200 psi or more. Check on outlets. There is valves in flow divider.
Cylinder will not be at fault. If it was it would be leaking.

If it?s like a 708 the PS cylinder is activated by an in line (to the steering shaft) valve. As I recall the were covered by a rubber cover that was suppose to keep the dirt out. If there is any dirt at all in that valve It will be
very difficult to steer.

The boot on my cylinder is on rough shape. Who manufactured the cylinders for Moline? That would help me try to find parts.

(quoted from post at 21:55:51 03/25/19) For just a replacement boot,I have successfully made them from a cv joint boot.

I gave dirt for sure I n the control body of the cylinder. Is this thing a Ross? If someone could give me a heads up thanks.
