G706 timing marks

I'm putting my injection pump on this weekend are
the timing marks on the flywheel or another place
I've heard it can vary from model to model. Thanks
in advance.

on the flywheel. 11 degree's BTDC, ROOSA MASTER PUMP.

Be sure on compression stroke. Watch intake valve closing then just before 1/2 revolution.

actually you watch the running mate to #1 cyl. which is # 6 cyl. ? when those valves are on the rock #1 is on compression.

Why take off another valve cover?

because its easy and I thought he was doing a rebuild on this tractor. and the pump should be installed before the valve covers. plus there is other ways to find TDC compression. just suggesting the simplist way when guys wonder how to find compression stroke. also very handy for setting valves just to watch running mates. , as that's all you need is valve covers off.

Since you have injectors out, easy to feel compression on number 1.
