445 hood latch

Recently bought a 445 gas. Looking for
hood latch or ideas for alternative for a
hood latch.

If its like my 335, its just a spring loaded bar with a notch that hooks the head of a carriage bolt.

p.s.: Its a good idea to add a strap over the hood for insurance if you trailer one.

If it like the U-302 a place called McMaster-Carr in Illinois has them. Kind of like an over-boot buckle. You can find them on the computer by their name.They ship everyhere and good prices.Cleddy

The 445 s that I have had have the same kind of latch that is on our 335.
Carriage bolt and a spring steel latch that hooks on the carriage bolt. clint
