I have a minneapolis 17-30 type A. What carburetor was used on this tractor? Serial number is 5269. Need make and model of carburetors that would work. Also what year would this tractor be?

I believe that a Stromberg M3 was common on these early Minneapolis crossmotors, however other makes such as Kingston and Wheeler-Schebler
were also utilized.
Unfortunately, no serial number records exist for The Minneapolis Threshing Machine Co. and to make matters worse, serial numbers were
never categorized specific model either. The Model A was built along side the Model B from the early to mid twenties onward. If I were you,
I would visit www.smokstak.com and search through the Old Iron Lugs & Cleats Forum. You will find plenty to read about your 17-30 B.
I have the later model 27-42. It's an awesome tractor. Enjoy!

I have a Wheeler Schebler Model A carb on My 17-30 (pre type) The parts books does not have a very good breakdown of tractor numbers the had kingston, stromberg or wheeler carb.

My Tractor is #4125 and Tractor Test #118 is of tractor #3972 and that was tested with a Wheeler Schebler Model A Carb.

The Wheeler Carb for the Type B was a tad bit different, so far as the pictures I have gotten between the 2 types.

Again the sky is the limit since there isn't anything really to go by. I am trying to make my tractor similar to those tractors I know are known to be of similar age.
