R axle seal

Working on a R and left axle seal is leaking. What has to be done to replace it. Lynn

Drain oil from transmission/differential housing. If tricycle front be careful blocking tractor so it won't tip when removing axle housing. Remove wheel, disconnect brakes, remove axle with housing. Differential bearing cage housing will need removed from differential housing. Save shims between cage housing and differential for reinstallation. Seal can now be replaced.

thethreseherman Have been gone for a few days. When you remove the housing the axle slides out of the differential without taking any thing loose inside the case? Lynn
