Picked up a Minnie from buddy today to get started for him put a flat belt on pulley to another tractor engaged hand clutch nothing happens pulley free wheels any suggestions before lift top off transmission to peak at inards
Thanks Paul

If it is a ZB it probably has the shiftable pulley unit, look between the pulley and transmission case on top of the pulley drive there should be a shift handle, shift into the other position and your pulley should drive.

Also if it's a ZB it would have a foot clutch, not a hand clutch. Are you sure it's not a ZA?
es it will be a ZA does have handclutch no shift lever for belt pulley only lever to engage pto over top of pto shaft

Do like John says. run right wheel on high ground or blocks so fluid isn't lost and pull pulley housing out of main case and check parts.

Yeah, if you're not looking for it, that shiftable pulley drive is not obvious. If the tractor goes into gear and drives, then it's that drive itself. That's the easiest to pull and check.

pulled pulley drive and discover shaft has broken just inside outer bearing so off to salvage to track down another drive assembly thanks for all the help
