Hi M-M men
This was sold to me as a New Holland. Scraped a bit of paint off the tag and says Minnie Mo. Pretty light duty, guessing 5 ton? but not bent or worn,missing one standard. Bad repaint except the rims. Intent here is to show it off not a for sale ad but if it is desirable to a collector all I need for it is another good wagon gear. I bought it with the intent of building a log wagon out of it.

Sold by MM but not likely made by MM. Looks like an Otaco,or any of several other makes.

i have a massey harris wagon like that also with that same goofy steering setup. nothing like the john deere wagon, as it has the automotive type steering and can pull then 60-70 mph. these goofy things can hardly do 20 mph and all over the road.
 
I agree, that looks like an Electric brand running gear. They made them, and were sold under the MM and Oliver names. Nice find.
 
That's for sure, I have a Deere running gear Dad bought new in the 60's
and that's no lie, I loaned it to a guy that confessed he just kept speeding
up waiting to level off when it started whipping and it never did.
 
I have one of those bolster stop channels loose if you want one.
Found it at a farm sale with some other wagon pieces.
 
Alan is right, they were made by Electric Wheel. And by the way John Deere did not make their gears. Most any gear could be pulled fast if they were set up right. Almost every new gear we sold had to have the toe in adjusted.

Nice picture.The steering and tongue mount are definitely Electric Wheel.In the 50's my father used to buy Sears David Bradleys which were Electric Wheel and Wards Low Loads (who made them) which were lower for grain boxes brt required extra "bolsters"to clear tires on flat racks.All were 5 bolt 15or16"wheels for used car tires.
