All these beautiful G1355 pictures, I just can't help myself. Here's my G955 i acquired this past spring. I've finally rounded up all the parts I believe I need to make it run, just waiting for some time to work on it. Casey in SD

The old girl needs a starter, ring gear on the flywheel and the radiator fixed. The tractor lived it's life on a irrigation pump down by Whitewater, WI. Never pulled a load a day in it's life, all pto work. It was bought new by Lurvey sod farms. At some point someone put the wrong starter on it and it chewed up the ring gear. They continued to push start it for a year or two and then parked it. I have family who works there and when it was gonna go for scrap they called me, so i ran down there and rescued it. While loading a fork slipped and took out the grill and poked the radiator. I'm not sure yet if i'm gonna fix it and leave it alone or make a puller out of it. Time will tell. Casey in SD

It will be fixed either way, just can't decide if I want to make a puller out of it or not. I want to get it going this winter but I might have to tear down my 766 IH instead. It has developed a unknown sound in the rear end 8( One at a time is about all time allows for around here.

A DETROIT??? Big muffler or not I bet that one talks. Was the propane tank converted over to diesel?

Yes - you can see the fill pipe they stubbed into the top - that was part of the "ragged" conversion... I wondered what they had done to it to have to replace the motor with so few apparent hours - the drawbar had almost zero wear on it... Same for the three point hooks... Howard

Would like some more information on the tractor with the detroit motor in a 1355. I am very interested. You can give me a call back at 402-380-8701. Thanks Loy Woerman

And here is a mod I'll bet not too many people have seen. It was a pretty neat conversion in some ways and pretty ragged in others. Overall, the tractor hadn't been used much. I bid on it a while back, but didn't get it:

Thanks for those pictures. Don't know how anyone could let the one look like that, I just love these 1355 especially the diesels, very sharp looking tractors and I have never seen a loader on one before thank you much for sharing
