I'm lookin at a 707 but the serial tag is gone. The serial number off the engine is 23602310. Can anyone tell me the tractor serial number.

My only suggestion would be to call Floyd County Historical Society at the Charles City Museum. They may be able to look it up for you.

About the only way you can determine the correct tractor serial number is to look at the build options sheet for the tractor. These are located in the Floyd County Museum in Charles City, Iowa. Each build sheet contains about 36 or so serial numbers. Since nearly 700 707"s were built, you may have to go through a lot of build sheets. MM did not do any sequential correlation between the engine S/N and the tractor S/N (ie. the engine serial numbers were out of order relative to the tractor serial numbers). The build sheet lists the tractors in order of the tractor serial number.

The S/N guide I have lists the 236 prefix is for the non diesel G705 and G706 tractors, it was probably continued on into the G707 and G708s. It may also have been used in MF 97s also. I believe this could be why it is up to 2310 when there were far less G707s made. HTH
