how to replace radiator fan on 135

135 newbie

New User
Hello all, I have a mf135 w/continental 4cyl engine and I need to replace the radiator fan. I was hoping I could just slide it in past the fan pully and bolt it back up but no such luck. Can I remove the pully, slide the fan in and then put the pully back on? or do I need to remove the sheet metal and the radiator shroud?

How do you remove the fan pully? It does not have any bolts holding it on.

Thanks in advance.

it"s not a big job to remove some front sheet metal and get clear proper access to radiator and fan. Done it quite a few times. Be careful in not damaging the radiator if you try the short-cut though, as a slight ding to radiator can create a leak - which leads to loud profanity. btdt.

check your hoses too, and if they"re cracked or worn out why not replace antifreeze and replace new hoses too. If this is a new tractor for you, you should do these things anyways to prevent serious problems later. Good Luck

Thanks Finn, I got out my parts manual and it does not look to tough, good idea about the radiator hoses, and I will probably replace the fan belt to.
