Hi, I bought an old tractor a year ago that has the plate the SN was on is barley readable. Where can I be sure I have a 35x. I have been to other forums and I believe it is. The decals are painted over and are in bad shape. The main question I have is in ordering a new serial number badge is the 35x a FE-35 or a MF-35. I believe mine is a 1963 35x. The number is SNMY307965. I know what the SNMY are and the number seems to put it as a 1963 35x

Thanks for any direction or conformation.

Jeremy

My generator has been replaced with an alternator. The bracket bolts on the side with two staggered bolts where a 35x would bolt on. I also have the grease nipple in the center of the wheel hub.

My tach is so rusted I cant see anything on it. I have differential rear Lock and grease nipples on front hubs. I do not have multipower.

The engine was the difference, diff lock was optional on both the late 35s and 35x. Have a look at the timing cover where the generator mounts. Two brackets (bolted on the front and rear of the timing cover) on a regular 35. One bracket bolted on the side of a 35x. A 35x would be an MF-35. Sam

Info on my 1963 MF 35 X..
My parents ordered a 1963 MF 35 X..Left Factory in England, arrived at our farm In Canada.

Differential rear Lock....
Grease nipples on front hubs...
Note Engine Tachometer..
Note Standard BELT SPEED..
The FUEL INJECTORS in my MF 35 X as well as the Fuel Injection Pump is NOT the same calibration as the MF 35's.
An increase in Engine HP with the MF 35 X over the neighbors MF 35 is quite noticeable.

Bob..
