I got the tractor about 10 years ago and the lift would not work. i drained the hyd fluid and it was real milky and the filter was stoped up. i changed fluid and cleaned filter and everything worked great. now the lift is getting real slow if it works at all. i checked the fluid level and its full and the fluid is clear. can the filter be stopped up with the fluid being clean? thanks

Glad it was a relatively straightforward fix!

Drain your fluid into a clean pail and see how clear/clean it still looks. Then you can check the filter again if you are worried its stopped up. If everything looks good, you can put the oil back in and you are only out your time.
Check the inspection cover on the right side of the tractor, and see what your rollers and linkage look like. It could be that something came out of place or is rusted up, and thats the cause of the lift not working.
