Hello,
Just a simple question, I made an inframe rebuild some years on a AD3 152 diesel, so far so good no major issue.
I remembered the camshaft had wearing mark right on the cam actuating the fuel lift pump, but no issue so far.
Just thinking forward in time I ask if the camshaft can be slide out just [b:2fa5cbe1f0]keeping the engine block inframe and keep also the oil sump bolted[/b:2fa5cbe1f0]. In other wors I ask if the camshaft replacement can be done as follows:
Taking out the front axle with radiator / etc (As for below picture)
Removing the engine head (maybe not needed)
Removing timing gear case
Removing camshaft timing gear (prior to this I will align all the marks in the gears.
Remove fuel lift pump
Sleeve out the cam shaft
Thanks you
