I have a 175 MF leaking hydraulic fluid out of weeping hole at bottom of transmission. Also loses fluid out of power steering but no apparent leak in lines or cylinder.

Check to make sure your engine oil level is not rising by itself.

Your seals are probably old and hard.A
seal softener, not called that is what I
use in cases like this. Won't hurt a
thing and a easy fix often. Try seal-
lube by Nu tech, availability on line or
direct.

ot rising

That power steering fluid has to be going somewhere.

(quoted from post at 18:04:08 09/20/22) Almost certain power steering needs a
new seal, loosing oil and its going in
the engine.

I agree. If there are no visible leaks, that's the only place the PS fluid could go.

I had an 89 Ford Aerostar van and it kept losing transmission fluid. I finally found out where it was going when I checked the engine oil. It finally started laying down a smoke screen that I couldn't drive it any more. It was like a James Bond vehicle laying down a smoke screen. Anyway, it was a bad vacuum modulator. It let the trans oil go into the engine crankcase. When I actually drained the engine oil pan I drained about 8 quarts of oil out of it. I'll bet all that trans oil really cleaned out the engine because the Aerostar is still running strong today.

Anyway when fluids are disappearing and there are no visible leaks, that fluid has to be going somewhere.
