The tractor is a MF3165 Utility with Dual Clutch. I believe it has the manual shuttle transmission. There are three separate transmission levers: forward/reverse, high/low, and 1-2-3-4.
The clutch needs to be replaced. I found a mobile mechanic who can do it. He would like me to order the parts and have them ready so he can do the repair in a single trip.
I'm not sure which clutch kit to order. There are several variations listed for the MF3165.
Clutch hub diameter: 1-1/8 or 1-5/8
Clutch splines: regular or fine
Spring type: heavy or medium
Is there a standard clutch assembly for the MF3165? (The service manual states there are different types.)
Is there a way to determine the clutch type by looking through the inspection plate underneath the clutch?
Or will it require splitting the tractor?
Thank you for your help!
