Hi all

Looks like this expansion plug on the end of the housing is not seated like it should be. If I tap this in does it seat against a shoulder inside the housing? Housing looks good.

I believe so if I remember right, but as it's already partially out, I'd pull it out completely and verify for sure. Gives you the opportunity when you put it back in of putting a smear of hardening gasket maker around the lip to hold it in place and prevent oil oozing out if it's not a perfect seal - something I often do, especially if it's going to be painted in the future and I don't want oil on a fresh paint job.
