MF 275 Block Heater Installation

I am trying to install a block heater on my 1983 MF275. I purchased the block heater adaptor and understand this adaptor is supposed to fit into a frost plug and the block heater element threads into the adaptor but don't know what is supposed to hold the adaptor in the frost plug.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Look around the block a little closer,if my memory serves
me correctly on the left side there is already a tapped
hole that your block heater will thread right into,no need
to mess with a freeze plug.
