265 Massey Ferguson not getting Diesel 70's model

Some old diesel was poured into the engine and gummed the filter up. My husband has drained the tank, put on a new filter, and gotten the air out of the lines, but it still won't start. He can't think of anything else to do. He has bled all of the lines and the filter. It will start using starting fluid, but won't run!! Can anyone give me any suggestions? Thank You!

I'm NOT familiar with the MF 265.......
IF the fuel pump looks like as per picture....
Do as per note on picture with fuel throttle wide open....
Then loosen fuel lines to fuel Injectores.
With starter, crank engine and verify when no air is present and only fuel at Injectores...

What John Deere D said. IF that doesn't work, make SURE that you have a steady stream of fuel from the tank to the filter. The 200 series have a brass screen that sticks up in the tank, if it's plugged no amount of bleeding will get it started, don't ask me how I know. When the fuel filter was replaced the gaskets MUST placed properly inside the housing or fuel will be reduced preventing starting on SOME filter types. Next, ensure the transfer pump lever is properly pumping fuel to the injector pump. Per the manual, bleed the filter then the injector pump, small bolt on top of filter housing. Fuel shutoff to ON or Open, throttle should be one half open or more, hit the starter, it should start after a short time of cranking. I've been doing this with those diesels since 1975, never once did I crack the injectors loose. I once started a 255 with a fresh rebuilt injector pump by rolling it off a hill in 3rd High, it fired right up. After all this if it still won't start you may have to wonder if the injector pump has failed or is gummed up with the old fuel. Good Luck with it!

Good advice, also the seals for the filters usually stay in the housing, on my 65s I always have to crack at least one injector and the fuel flow from the bleeders at the pump must be clear fuel no bubbles.

Could it be a case of the filter having the sealing ring installed around the outside, but it
is not that design of filter ? NAPA filter compared a WIX ?
Getting some fuel, but not enough, hope it helps
