MF204 operation questions

Hello, Im new to owning a tractor. I have a MF204 Workbull. It has a torque converter instead of a clutch called the reversomatic. When I bought it the PTO and the 3point didnt work. I replaced a broken pump and now the PTO spins but only when I am moving in forward or reverse. Is this normal? How would I use implements like a post hole digger if the tractor has to move? Does the 3 point lift only work if the PTO is engaged and if I am moving? I cant seem to get that working either.

Thank you

The four speed torque convertor transmission is NOT suited for PTO use! The hi/lo lever needs to be in neutral for stationary PTO use, and the four speeds affect the
PTO speed in both forward or reverse is used, which ALSO reverses the PTO direction. What you describe is NORMAL for that trans design operation of both the three point
pump AND PTO.

It can be used as said before but you should buy an over-running clutch for it. I use my 205 with an over-running clutch for teddng hay or raking.

So I foudn out that the shaft will spin while the H/L shifter in in neutral like you said! Awesome... only problem is its weak. I think its slipping. I can stop it with just a little friction and that causes the pump to not work. Im guessing there is a clutch for the PTO and im not finding much info on the instant reverse models. Any ideas on what troubleshooting steps I can take? Would this require me to split the tractor?
