Massey Harris 30 - 3-Point Hitch?

Hey All,

I've got a 1952 Massey Harris Model 30 and in talking with some people I've had people tell me they came with a stock 3-point hitch and others tell me no way. The one I have isn't set up for the 3-point but we were wondering if it could be done relatively easily or if we'd need to buy something and modify it to work.

I haven't found anything online so I'm guessing I'll have to do a modification if I want to go that direction but I was curious to see if anyone had any input on whether or not this model had the option to come with a 3-point originally or if it just doesn't make sense for this size tractor.

I apologize in advance for any ignorance, I'm still learning a lot.

Having some MH 30s in the past, none of mine had the three point hitch. The FERGUSON TO-30 models came with a three point hitch, but the MH 30 models did not.

You could build one, IF you have live hydraulics. The 101 Jr. was just prior to the 30. Here's a pic of the one I built for my 101. I bought a NOS pump from Surplus Center that fit into the spot where the magneto would be, and runs off the cam gears. I had to get rid of the draw bar to make it work.

The 33 model tractor had 3 point hitch as an option. Since the rear end is the same, a hitch from a 33 could easily fit on a 30 chassis by swapping the necessary parts. My literature shows no 3 ph option for a 30.
