Massey Ferguson Fuel Injection pump leak

My Massey 270 leaks fuel from the top.
The seals/O rings need to be replaced.
Question is what are the wires between bolts for?
There are 3 wires connecting different parts.
Are they needed somehow? Are they a "factory seal" and not needed?

Thank you

I'm NOT a Diesel Fuel component trained Tech....

I spent 40 years with a private firm, and we always added lock wire and a lead seal, so as to verify if some RED NECK
had been tinkering with the component..

Lock wire was required to assure fastening hard wear did NOT back off, and become loose....

The lead seal had a verification number so as to verify the shop that performed calibration and or other settings on
the component..

You may wish to consider, do you own the component, is warranty involved before the safety wire and SEAL is removed..
Verify 100% as to the leak location before any hardware is removed..

Do you own a parts break down of the component...

No one cares that you spent 40 years in a private firm and and would call a person a Red Neck to their face?

Welcome to Yesterday's Tractors. $jed
I, for one, always look forward to, "any one" with such a broad scope and abundance of mechanical knowledge that you seem to have, and willing at no charge, to share with the rest of the world.
At some point, in your vast background of knowledge,I'm sure you have attended Post Secondary Institutions, definitely have proven hours of hands-on experience combined with Teachings of Senior Instructors and Professors.
Look forward to any further input you may have.
